Alongside their skilled treatment offerings, our therapists and practitioners are responsible for creating a soothing and caring environment for our guests. As a small and dedicated team, every role is integral to creating the extraordinary experience of the Ancient Cedars Spa.

Estheticians are a key part of the service delivery team at the Ancient Cedars Spa. By offering relaxation-based treatments, our Therapists and Practitioners pamper our guests and add to their world class memorable experience at the Wickaninnish Inn. Estheticians are to perform a variety of treatments such as manicures, pedicures, facials, and body treatments, as well as participate in our retail product sales program.

As an Esthetician you will:

  • Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting and exceeding Relais & Chateaux, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond and Forbes Standards.
  • Provide Skin Treatments: Administer facials, peels, and other relaxation-based skin treatments tailored to clients' specific needs to enhance their appearance and promote healthy skin.
  • Conduct Consultations: Assess clients' skin conditions, discuss skincare goals, and recommend personalized treatment plans and products.
  • Perform Hair Removal: Utilize techniques such as waxing, threading, and laser treatments to remove unwanted hair from various body parts.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are sanitized and comply with health and safety regulations to provide a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Continuously update knowledge on the latest skincare products, techniques, and industry trends to provide elevated services and recommendations.

  • Exemplary customer service skills and demonstrate a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high standard environment, and creative problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • A passion for the health and wellness industry.
  • The availability to work evenings, weekends and open to adjusting schedule for business needs.
  • A minimum of 1,000 hours of training and education from a recognized institution.
  • The ability to thrive in a remote, small-town environment.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the Health and Wellness Industry, Resort or Destination Spa experience would be an asset.
  • The ability to make a commitment to the position for a mutually understood and agreed upon period of time.

Salary/Wage: 25–35% commission on services, plus 10–15% retail commission, paid monthly
