Hotel Maintenance Technician

Our maintenance department plays a vital role in the ongoing care of our property, supporting both operational excellence and preservation of this iconic landmark.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cashel.  Duties to include:

• Perform routine inspections of the hotel premises, identifying and addressing maintenance issues promptly
• Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks across various areas, including plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC
• Respond efficiently to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to hotel operations
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician, ideally in a hotel or hospitality setting
• Proficiency in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and HVAC systems
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols relevant to hotel maintenance
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Basic computer skills for using maintenance management systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong organisational abilities and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays
